Can, and will, download stuff overnight, pr0n, music, movies, etc.. violating copy right laws, etc.. The following image is a snapshot of a customers 7 day modem activity log, showing that on average, every night from 11PM till 3:30AM, there is an incredible amount of downstream activity, and from 11PM till 7:30AM, there is an even higher amount of upstream activity out of their computer, causing slow speeds.

How about that? A water condensor on a pratical level, not only would we be conserving our water supply, but at the same time we would be conserving energy because these units can double as an AC unit at the same time.

1. Cost of Electricity in L.A. ( $.09/Kw/Hr.)

2. Dehumidifier Electricity use. (.6/KW/Hr.)

3. Temperature/Humidity. (11 hours Moderate)



The Formula Dehumidifier Cost of Electricity X Area Cost of Electricity X Hours to Fill Tank = Cost to Fill Tank with 5 gallons of water.



.6/KW/Hr. X 11 hours X .09 KW/Hr. = Cost of Full Tank ( 5 Gallons)"

So that turns out to be 59 cents for 5 Gallons of fresh purified water, come on people, join the revolution!

To be present allday for an allday appointment, ranging from 8AM to 8PM, then yes, we really need you to be present all day for that appointment, and no, calling in 6 times through out the day will not move you up any sooner.

I've been down...

If you have been offline for more than a day, and you are just now calling in on it, no I won't feel sorry for you, and no, I don't really understand your frustrations on it. I would've called in within 1 hour of it being down, and if I did hear about an outage in my area, I would give it 24 hours, past that, it's all over baby and I would see what's going on with my provider.

Yes that does in fact mean something on your computer affected your connection to the internet.

Remember to read your TOS, if you're running a home business on the residential account, you are violating your Terms of Service, and we can cancel your service without notifying you.

Running a business does not entitle you to quicker turn around times, special treatement, or a higher priority on the trouble call on a residential account. If you need any of the previous things met, then you need a business account. If you're really loosing thousands of dollars a day for being down, then you can afford to loose an additional $20-$30 a month to have guranteed 24 hour turn about time on any issue so that you don't loose more than $2000.00.

I will be leaving town from June 29th through July 7th 2k6, and will be unable to update, make posts, or do anything normal other than be happy and peaceful and playful with my fellow mountain spirits.

I was running a little late this morning, and ended up stealing Courtney Jungblutt's seat, I was sad when I saw her come in and give me that look of utter despair (j/k lol.)

My stat's are greatly improved this month, except for AHT, last month I had a 10:30 AHT, this month I'm at 13:00 even :'( but OPC is up, QA is up, and so is compliance, up from 99.9998 to 99.99. So I may survive yet another month ^_^

Slow speeds? No really??

If you're NIC card pings itself at 10ms, there IS something WRONG with YOUR computer. Do not ask me "If my computer can't talk to itself, is that on my end or your guys?" The answer is obvious, and you don't even deserve an answer from me.

You purchased the 10 Meg package from us, and you're getting an average of 9.2 mbps download speeds from 4 different sites, but your favorite website doesn't pull through too fast, who should you take this issue up with? The site's content provider, or your pc, a speedtest is giving you the results of what your pc is actually handling, but not how fast you will get the information.

Five things:

1. Your site you're trying to access may not be able to send the data out at your download speeds.
2. Your computer can, and very much will, slow everything down when you have messengers, P2P networks, websites open, older OS's, ftp programs, email open, routers, underrated processors, motherboards, nic cards, cat5 cables.
3. Just plain userend stupidity.
4. Yes, it is possible we really are having an issue, and if you don't work with us, we'll never get it resolved. Don't get pissy and irate with us when we tell you what to do so we can find a resolution if it's on our end, and if not, accept it if we tell you, Four different times by Four different techs, that it's your issue on your pc. When we find the issue, don't get upset and hang up if we need to send someone out and it may be a couple days.
5. Remember.. Internet and Cable TV are luxuries, not utilities, we're not rated the same and do not follow the same government regulations, so complaining to your state rep about having a trouble call more than 2 days out is a mute point.

There, now that that is taken care of, who want's to play some bball?

For the love of God.

PLEASE!!! If you purchase a router, learn how to f-ing use it before calling us here at Charter, if it takes you 10 minutes to understand the need to bypass it to see if the issue is router related (Yes, I know you've had it for 3 months and that it's brand new and never had a problem before in the entire life of the known universe,) or modem and possibly server related.

If we bypass your router, and suddenly your pc is working great, BAM! You know the issue, don't ask me "How can this happen?" You know what you did to make it happen, and if you didn't then shutup and don't purchase a router or PC ever again.

If we're still getting slow speeds on this with a direct connection to the modem, then stop surfing those pr0n sites and downloading every video you can find, those did in fact add spyware and viruses to your PC, causing your speed to no longer be 5MB, but instead 2MB (wow! 2MB, how the hell did we ever survive before broadband with a 1200 baud and 9600 baud modem?!? Blasphemy!)

If all this fails, and the QCR file shows us there is server side issues, please do not berate me cause you waited 10 days to call in, only to find out we'll investigate it now that we finally know you're having an issue. We're not psychics, cause if we where, we would so just hit the lottery and say screw you.
